Autonomic Fascial Integration - Overview

AFI is an innovative, multifaceted approach to the gentle and non-invasive release of contractive trauma patterns in the connective tissue. The dynamic interaction between the autonomic nervous system and the fascial network is fundamental to this work. The approach is grounded in the context of the tensegrity matrix model of human biomechanics, a concept at the leading edge of scientific research in the neurobiology of fascial plasticity. The course is recommended for experienced practitioners only.

The Autonomic Fascial Integration Certificate Program is a course of study consisting of 64 classroom hours of instruction, broken down into three levels. Level one – 16 hours, level two – 16 hours, level three – 32 hours. Additional advanced special interest workshops are available for graduates.

Autonomic Fascial Integration Level One : 16 CE Hours for LMTs

Course Description:

Autonomic Fascial Integration is a multifaceted approach to the release of contractive holding patterns in the connective tissue. This gentle, non-invasive method can facilitate a recalibration of the autonomic nervous system, resulting in lowered levels of stress, thus creating a positive feedback loop to maximize therapeutic outcomes. The approach is grounded in the context of the tensegrity matrix model of human biomechanics, a concept at the leading edge of scientific research in the neurobiology of fascial plasticity.

Autonomic Fascial Integration Level Two: 16 CE Hours for LMTs

Pre-requisite: AFI level one.

Course Description:

Autonomic Fascial Integration Level Two expands the practitioner’s skill set to incorporate additional techniques for working with the dynamic complexities of the tensegrity matrix model of human biomechanics. This class introduces the concepts of dermatome circuits and compression transference, providing effective tools for working with multidirectional contractility in fascial torque patterns.
